The Betting Beacon System Review
Welcome to our Betting Beacon review
The Betting Beacon is a daily tipping service by Grahame Anderson, a journalist, writer and an experienced punter. He claims to be running an honest and reliable service where all results will be proofed on a website and has stated that he will always be available to answer any questions his subscribers may have.
The service is marketed by Sportsworld Publishing and the Betting Beacon selections will be sent via e-mail or can be accessed on a local rate phone number giving you 2 win & place advices, 1 each way double, 1 each way dark horse & an each way treble where possible: so plenty to aim at!
The author claims to have made two hundred and forty points profit in the last fifteen weeks.
Price for this service is £87 a month but a special offer is available at present of £195 for three months.
We reviewed the Betting Beacon for a 60 day period, declaring all our results based on £10 level stakes to Betfair SP.
Betting Beacon System Review Results
Over the 60 day period of this review, the results were as follows:
(A full day by day breakdown is available below)
A) The £10 E/W Singles lost £32.88
B) The £10 E/W Doubles lost a staggering £586.10
C) The £10 E/W Dark Horses lost £130.86
D) The £5 E/W trebles made a profit of £191.53.
So, all in all, a service costing £87 per month lost £558.31 in 2 months = £12.20 per day including the cost of the subscription.
The Betting Beacon Final Verdict:
Losses in excess of £730 over two months, including the monthly fees, at £10 a point will lead you to the poor house before very long.
On a positive note, if you’d only backed the each way trebles and singles you would have broken even after payment of the monthly fee. That is the only positive comment I can make about this system,
The main problem is the prices of the selections, almost all of them were favourites and around thirty per cent of them were odds on.
Backing long odds on favourites each way is pointless and a look at any online daily racing forecast could provide this information for free.
The author stated he’d made a profit of over two hundred and forty points in the previous three months to this trial and whilst unable to prove any different I can only wonder how he got those figures as our trial shows a completely different picture.
Another problem for me, personally as a reviewer, was the spelling errors in the selections’ names, as well as incorrect times given on a few occasions.
On top of this, updates were not always done daily as the author was away on business etc.
If I was paying almost ninety pounds a month for a subscription, I would expect a more professional service with more attention to detail, after all if the presentation is poor, how much expertise has gone into the selections?
All in all this is a thumbs down from me and a service to avoid.
