HRM Weekly Update 29/01

Hi again and welcome to what is going to be the penultimate weekly roundup of the HorseRacingMan.com Betting System Reviews.

We have reluctantly taken a decision to streamline our review sites and seeing as most of our current reviews will have ended by next week, now seems the right time to implement this. We’re not giving up reviewing at all, but we’re concentrating our efforts on our more well-established sites, namely our flagship site www.geegeez.co.uk and our two main review sites: www.onlinebettingexposed.com and www.onlineracingreview.com

All three of those sites are packed with news, information and system reviews and we’d love you to come over and join in: simply click their names to be taken straight there.

We will, of course, continue the reviews that are active here, until they reach their natural conclusion, but as I said earlier, most of them are also entering the final furlong.

It was actually a pretty decent week for the four services still under the microscope, as three of them shared almost £174 worth of profit with just one service making a small loss. Crossbow was the odd one out this week with a £30 deficit, whilst both GAFFA tips (+£11.42) and aaaracingtips (+£28.50) made small inroads into their previous losses, but it really does look like a major case of too little, too late.

The main bright spot comes in the form of Scoring for Profit, a football service which lays against the correct score market in major televised games. They had a really good week, earning some £134 in the process.

So, here’s the current state of play of the HRM Reviews:

As you can see, Crossbow will finish the next week in a position of strength and Scoring for Profit are now heading in the right direction. it’s not so rosy for either Gaffa tips nor aaaracingtips, as they are both destined to finish their trials heavily in the red.

I’m more than happy to recommend the Crossbow service, this one looks like a good money earner, whilst a watching brief is advised for Scoring for Profit. I’d advise shying away from the other two, though: Gaffa Tips has been consistently poor, whilst aaaracingtips has been undone by its staking plan. Losses so far of almost £367 would “only” be £69 using level stakes. Draw your own conclusions there!

HRM Weekly Update 15/01

Hello everyone and welcome to your weekly roundup of the HorseRacingMan.com Betting System Reviews.

This week turned out to be a far better week than last week, as our six services made a combined profit of over £505 since my last update. Overall, it was an even split with three services making money and three services making a loss.

Aaaracingtips (-£11.28), Colin Leafe Racing (-£50.00) and GAFFA Tips (-£140.86) were the unprofitable services this week, as their losses added up to £202.14 and it was, once again, no surprise to see Colin Leafe Racing and GAFFA Tips at the bottom of the pile. These two have really underperformed from Day 1.

Fortunately, we had profits of £707.90 elsewhere and these came from newcomer Scoring For Profit (+£9.50 on Day 1) and Favourite Lays (+£50.70), but the vast bulk of this week’s success came from the Crossbow / Longbow team with a whopping £647.70 profit, they certainly hit the bull’s-eye this week!

One of the Crossbow winners was advised at 55.0 to win on Betfair and 9.2 for a place. The horse drifted quite a bit in the market and had the bet been placed at betfair SP (which returned at 180 / 28), the profits from that race alone would have been almost £2000 to £20 stakes!

So, here’s the current state of play of the HRM Reviews:

This week saw the end of the road for Colin Leafe Racing and in fairness, it has been somewhat of a struggle for this one. The overall losses of just over £193 in 60 betting days doesn’t tell the whole story. They endured a string of near misses and hard luck stories, but with losses of that magnitude, we just cannot endorse this one. This coming week will also bring GAFFA Tips towards its final conclusion and this is another service that has performed badly from pretty much the outset.

The review table will look far healthier with those two gone, and we’ve plenty of new stuff on its way to you.

A the top end though, things look much more rosy: Scoring for Profit got off to a winning start on Day 1, whilst Favourite Lays continued to find successful short priced losers. Finally, Crossbow arrowed in on the target and now sit at the head of affairs with a very healthy looking balance. Based on the author’s previous success with PAWS, this hasn’t really come as a surprise to us and we’re looking forward to seeing what the next two weeks brings for them.

If you’re going to take out a subscription this week to any of these, I’m happy to recommend Favourite Lays as a low-risk lay service, but if you want winners at big prices, then Crossbow is just the ticket.

Scoring for Profit

Welcome to our review of Scoring for Profit

Scoring for Profit is a football-based tipping service which focuses on the televised matches available to UK viewers.

The service seeks to identify a particular single bet within a chosen game ie a correct score, number of goals / corners etc and then lays that bet. ie they expect a certain chosen event NOT to happen!

Last season (2011/12) the service highlighted 475 bets and had a 90%-plus strike rate, which resulted in profits of 130pts after betfair commission.

So far this 2012/3 season, Scoring For Profit subscribers have placed 172 successful lays from a possible 193 selections: a strike rate of over 89% and profits of almost 29pts have already been recorded.

The maximum lay price is 8.0 and the average lay is in the 6.60 to 7.40 area.
The longest winning run to date is 32 ans the service hasn’t placed 2 consecutive losing lays!

The system can be used on all live TV matches, these include UK & European Leagues,
Champions League and International Games, but you will either need to be available to place
your bets 30 minutes before kick off or subscribe to the Scoring For Profit bot (for an additional fee).

The subscription charges are as follows:
£67.99 for the system manual itself and six weeks’ worth of daily analysis emails/support.
If you decide to continue with the daily email service after the initial period, this is charged at a further £19.99 per month.
And if you want the service to be full automated for you, then the Scoring For Profit bot is also available
for a fee of £19.99 per month.

We shall be reviewing this service for 60 betting days, placing £10 lay bets from a nominal £500
betting bank (a 50pt bank is the recommended figure).
All Scoring For Profit results will, of course, reflect any commission deducted by betfair.

Scoring For Profit: The Full-Time Analysis

What a disaster this service has been over the last few months the starting bank of £500 has been wiped out in just 54 days.
I find the system itself (if you can call it that) is not based on form or statistics it is just based on backing the a scoreline
if it is below certain odds and if that scoreline is clear of the second favourite score.

It is not based on any teams form or league tables it is just based on odds.
So how can it be a system when no form is taken into account?

All bets are placed around 15 minutes before kick off and can be found in the members area
along with the schedule for the next weeks games.

Over 54 days the £500 starting bank went as high as £586 but that was in the early stages of the testing
but the things went downhill very fast. Our £500 bank went after day 54 with a strike rate of only
65 correct lays out of a total of 83.

With Odds in the region of around 7.0 to 8.0 this is, of course not good enough to show any kind of profit
and made a loss of over £500.

Based on this I would have to fail the system.
Plus another problem with this service is the automated bot, which places totally different bets
to the ones advised on the website.

Avoid this one like the plague.

HRM Weekly Update 08/01

Hello everyone and welcome to the first weekly roundup of the HorseRacingMan.com
Betting System Reviews of 2013.

I hope you all had a very enjoyable Christmas and New Year, I certainly did!
Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for the services on trial with us here. As we enter the New Year,
several of the old reviews have come to an end and the site will take on a new look over the next
couple of weeks, as we introduce a whole host of new services to the review scene.

So, let’s quickly catch up on how the current crop are performing.

To be honest, it was a really disappointing week, as all five services lost money!
Their combined losses amounted to £354.31 with the worst result coming from
the Crossbow / Longbow team who lost over £155 this week.
aaaracingtips plunged into the red with a weekly loss of almost £77, whilst Colin Leafe
continued to toil, losing another £50.

The usually reliable Favourite Lays also came a cropper this week as they gave back
over £45 of their profits and whilst we normally fanfare our best performer of the week,
it’s a little difficult to do so when even they lost over £27, but I suppose they’re winners
of a sort, so this week’s top performer is the GAFFA Tips team.

So, here’s the current state of play of the HRM Reviews:

As you can see, this week’s poor results have left the overall picture looking quite bleak.
Only Favourite Lays remain in profit  and it’s not looking at all good for any of Colin Leafe,
Crossbow / Longbow or the GAFFA Tips. At least Crossbow have another 3 weeks to turn
things around and they might yet surprise us all: their pedigree would suggest they’re capable of doing so.

I can’t recommend anything to you from this crop at present, but I’m hopeful
that Favourite Lays will at least end their trial in profit.

Lay The Favourite

Welcome to our review of Lay The Favourite

Lay the Favourite is the culmination of a 2-year development period by the Lucrative Racing Trust, who are also the brains behind Place Bet Profits.

They spent this two-year period to perfect the service, and then a further 8 months to the end of 2012 of real money proofing since then to test its profitability.
During this proofing period they claim to have achieved excellent results as follows:
183 successful lays from 236 providing a strike rate of 77.54% at average odds of 3.84 resulting in profits of £576.15 which equates to a return of over 10.5% above stakes.

All this was achieved via seven profitable months from eight.

As the name would tend to suggest, the Lay The Favourite service focuses on the laying aspect of the betting exchange, and their selections are purely in the shorter odds range to keep liability as low as possible. The maximum lay price is 5.0.

No previous experience betting is necessary, you will receive the selections for the day in the morning to your email address.
All you need is an internet connection and an account with a betting exchange such as Betfair or Betdaq.

You can trial Lay The Favourite for a full 30 days absolutely free by simply clicking their name anywhere on this page, before deciding whether or not to take out a full subscription and the current subscription rate for this service is a reasonably-priced £27 per month.

HRM Weekly Update 18/12

That could very well be the cry when you read the latest weekly roundup of the HorseRacingMan.com Betting System Reviews. The layers seem to be doing very well at the moment, as our league table will show later, but first let’s look at a service whose 60-day trial came to an end this week.

Phil Bannister reviewed Golden Soccer Star for us and a final week’s loss of £107 made for an overall deficit of £168 for the trial period. A strike rate of 24.4%, based on 71 success from 290 bets, just isn’t good enough for a football service and Phil was unable to recommend this one to you.

This week’s top three earners might come as a bot of a shock to you, they did to me anyway! Colin Leafe Racing managed a couple of nice winners on their way to a £55 profit this week, whilst our top earner was Inside Tipster with £83.18. Both of these services have been starved of success of late and they were separated in the weekly top three by the Crossbow / Longbow service, who narrowly missed out on the top spot by just £0.68 after recording a profit of £82.50. This result wasn’t a surprise like the other two, though, more of a return to form.

All told, five out of eight services made a profit of £276 between them, whilst the three remaining reviews showed a combined loss of £235, leaving the review portfolio with a small weekly profit of £41.

The three loss making services were Football-Bets (-£6.50), Golden Soccer Star (-£107 as mentioned earlier) and it was left to GAFFA Tips to carry the wooden spoon with a loss of £122.

So, here’s the current state of play of the HRM Reviews:

As I intimated earlier, the layers have it at present with Favourite Lays and aaaracingtips leading the way, whilst our top three is made up by the steady Crossbow / Longbow service. Overall the picture is one of a loss of £403, courtesy of some large deficits at the bottom end of the table, where we find Golden Soccer Star, Inside Tipster (despite being no.1 this week) and the GAFFA Tips now prop up the rest.

My personal thoughts this week are that you should steer clear of the Golden Soccer Star service, further work/refinement is needed there, but I do suggest you keep your eyes on our current top three as all of them seem to have some serious promise going forward.

Hello again and welcome to my latest weekly roundup of the HorseRacingMan.com
Betting System Reviews. There’s a little change to the format today, but it should
hopefully all make sense by the end!

What I want to talk about today comes in three distinctly separate areas, hence
the title of this piece.

The Past: We have just finished reviewing what was arguably one of the worst products
we’ve ever seen and we’d like to steer you away from this one if we can. Bankers Bonus
managed to lose a final total of £966.63 in just 60 days with us and this puts the service
at no. 54 of 56 services reviewed since I came to HRM some 18 months ago.
Don’t waste your money on this one, check Chris’s review here for full details.

The Present: Good performances this week from Favourite Lays (+£69.30), £47.50 profit
for aaaracingtips and the Inside Tipster made £46.11. Not so good (poor, in fact!) from
Golden Soccer Star (-£124), Crossbow (-£149) and inevitably Bankers Bonus with -£159.

So, here’s the current state of play of the HRM Reviews:

It’s looking good for the layers at Favourite Lays and aaaracingtips, whilst Incredible Wickets
managed to end their trial in profit, but that alone wasn’t enough to earn the approval
of our reviewer Phil, find out why right here.

We finally said goodbye to Bankers Bonus and we’re not too sad about that, whilst Inside Tipster
continues to struggle, despite this week’s profits and the GAFFA tips team are still looking for
some consistency from their combined football/golf approach..

HRM Weekly Update 04/12

Hello again welcome to my latest weekly roundup of
the HorseRacingMan.com Betting System Reviews.

It was another mixed week for the systems and services currently under review.
One service came to the end of a very profitable trial and six of the 11 reviews
showed a profit over the week: of these two were our newest recruits.

There was an overall loss of £207 across the review portfolio, mainly because
five services lost a total of £495 between them. The main culprits were, in reverse
order: Golden Soccer Star who followed up last week’s £104 loss with one of £125
this week. Next came the consistently poor Bankers Bonus who lost yet another £138,
but the wooden spoon this week goes to the Inside Tipster, whose weekly loss of £157
means that they’ve now lost £790 in the last three weeks alone!

It wasn’t all doom and gloom, though. Six services shared a combined profit of £288 over
the week. Football-Bets scored a decent £54 this week, whilst the Colin Leafe racing
service finally ran into some form with a return of £90. However, our best results came
from the Crossbow / Longbow service. A profit of £102.50 in their first four days,
but since this one is the work of  Allan Moore, the guy behind the excellent PAWS
all-weather service, I wasn’t surprised at all to see this one immediately
hitting the target.

So, here’s the current state of play of the HRM Reviews:

As you can see, the impressive Exclusive Punters Club finished their trial period
at the top of the tree, returning a fantastic £533 profit in just 60 days. New recruit
Crossbow / Longbow will now be gunning for that top slot after a storming start,
whilst the slow-burning, steady Incredible Wickets complete our top three.

It’s a familiar tale of woe at the other end of the table, as the Bankers Bonus team
remain rooted to the bottom and their losses now stand at over £800. The GAFFA tips
remain in the bottom three, where they are now joined by Inside Tipster, who was
the victim of a return to a semblance of form from Colin Leafe racing.

Both myself and our reviewer Iain were impressed by the trial results
from EPC and we feel they’d make an ideal addition to your portfolio
this winter, whist my one to watch is the Crossbow / Longbow service.
This one comes from a proven source and has made a great start already.
If this one only does half as well as sister service PAWS, then it will still
be worth every single penny of the subscription fees.

Crossbow / Longbow Review

Welcome to our review of Crossbow / Longbow

Crossbow / Longbow is the latest offering from Allan Moore, the brains behind
the hugely successful All-Weather tipping service PAWS.

The aim here is to find good value E/W bets with the odd straight win advice thrown in.

These two services come together in one package for a monthly fee of £39.99, payable via paypal.
Both services are focused purely on National Hunt Handicap races.
Crossbow deals with hurdle events, whilst Longbow provides selections from Chases.

There hasn’t been too much action on these just yet, but as the NH season gets into full swing,
we can expect more Crossbow / Longbow selections, but to date the results are as follows:

Crossbow (Hurdles) has selected 190 horses in the last five months: 170 of which were E/W bets
26 winners = 13.68% strike rate and 38 E/W selections placed = 22.35%
The average price is around the 20/1 mark
and the 360pt outlay has generated profits of 135.35pts = 37.6% return

Longbow (Chases) has selected 31 E/W horses in the last three months:
3 winners = 9.68% strike rate and 9 placed overall = 29.03%
the 62pt outlay has generated profits of 14.50pts = 23.4% return.

We followed the Crossbow / Longbow services for a period of 60 days,
recording all results to a £10 per point level stake based on the advised odds
suggested in the daily emails. We did, of course, ensure those odds were widely available!

aaaracingtips Service Review

Welcome to our review of aaaracingtips

aaaracingtips is a daily email service that aims to identify short-priced horses
that will go on to lose their races. The plan is, therefore, to lay these horses
at a fairly low level of liability, since the maximum lay price advised
is just 3.50 on the exchanges.

According to their results data (and verified by Racing Index),
their service has generated profits of 134pts this year from a strike rate of 66%.

aaaracingtips differs from other laying systems on the market as they operate
a Stop At A Winning Bet philosophy and also have a loss recovery strategy
built into a staking plan. It is the use of this staking plan that has led to the 134pts profit.

Many of you (ourselves included) aren’t keen on such plans,
but the results still show a more modest 41pts profit on the year at level stakes.

The cost of this daily email service is £30 per month payable via paypal, a secure payment facility.

We trialled the aaaracingtips service for a minimum of 60 days and we declared our results
to £10 level stakes, based on all selections and also a second set of results using the SAAW
loss recovery method.

We’ll obviously be using Betfair SP as our price guideline.

aaaracingtips: Our Final Verdict

aaaracingtips always had their selections in my inbox in plenty of time, but that is the only positive I have to offer.

They made a very promising start and by Day 27 betting at Level Stakes they were £168.00 in profit
and their Staking Plan was £161.50 to the good.

From then on it was all downhill.
They are on a really bad run at the moment and I don’t see much merit in their Staking Plan.

This service is not one for my portfolio.
